Treatment Foster Home Program
Our East Central Ohio Treatment Foster Home Program will be serving Guernsey,
Holmes, and Wayne Counties. By assisting in locating families who want to step in
temporarily and make a difference in the lives of children, with higher acquity
needs and often multiple service providers, by offering stability and support in
times of crisis.
Treatment level of care providers are so important in the lives of children who
may have experienced trauma neglect, or other diagnoses that impact them. Our
agencies are committed to their safety and well-being, whether that’s in their
primary family home, or in a placement setting while their primary family gets
the needed support to ensure the child’s well-being and safety so children may
return home.
One of the key pieces for healthy childhood development is attached to being
involved in a supportive environment. Adverse Childhood Experiences can
negatively impact emotional, cognitive, and social functioning or development.
These homes will be providing supportive trauma-informed care, patented by
Pressley Ridge, for children who’ve potentially been impacted by ACE’s but, their
stories don’t end there! During the short period of time the child may be placed in
a treatment foster home, families can make a difference in their lives!
This program requires trainings separate from our Family Foster Home
requirements to meet the state mandates for the level of care the children placed
in their homes will be provided. 24/7 access to staff for support of Treatment
Foster Parents, twice monthly home visits, and continued training targeted on
meeting the needs of the child placed in the home are a few strengths of the
program.
